QKD Blog Hop

Color Challenge today! One that screams Halloween. But I don't have any Halloween specific stamps so I went with the spooky treat idea. But wait, before we get into that I want to remind you that it's hop day so if you haven't been to the beginning be sure to head to Queen Kat's blog to start at the proper spot. And be sure to swing by the store and see what goodies are there that are calling your name.

The card base is Whisper White with a layer of Lovely Lilac to set the stage for the Pumpkin Pie matted candy corn paper. And I paper pieced the cupcake from Cupcake Twins in spooooky papers too. I cut out some candy corn to top the frosting and added a few little embellishments from my stash. Pretty cute I think.

Now head on over to Lara's delicious blog and see what she's cooked up for this color scheme.

PDD Friday---Isabella Focus

Happy Friday. And I do mean happy. No one is sick, no one is tired, well except me but that's the norm and I have a fun, easy, striking card to share.

I used Isabella because she's so darned beautiful. I stamped her in black and outlined with Prismacolor pencils. Then smudged with Odorless Mineral Spirits. I added some Stickles to her dress, a Prima in te corner, a tab of ribbon and some Skittles. A perfect card for a little princess hello.

Cardstock: Rose Red, BB, WW, Lavender Lace
Stamp set: Princess Isabella
Ink: BB
Extras: Stickles, Skittles, Ribbon, Prima

QKD Blog Hop---Surprise

It's Wednesday again! My how time flies. You know the routine. If you've headed straight here thanks and be sure to hit the beginning of the hop and follow along to see what everyone did with today's sketch challenge. It was a fun one and I pulled out two sets to use, Elegant Swirls and We Scream for Ice Cream. I also get to show off my very first ever fabric yo yo I made to use on a card.

I went bright and breezy with the colors since today was the first storm of the season. Some places near the coast got A FOOT of rain. That's practically unheard of in California. The base is Whisper White and then I layered a textured cardstock of very pale aqua and on top of that added Bermuda Bay. I colored in the image using Shimmerz in Opal, Buttercream and Mint and used Bermuda Bay for all the stamping. A few buttons and my super sweet yo yo and I was finished.

Here's a close up of the card so you can see the dimension that the yo yo has.

Now before I give you the recipe for this card I want to be sure to tell you that you had better head on over to Lara's blog and follow the hop. Thanks for stopping in.

Cardstock: WW, Bermuda Bay, light aqua
Stamp Sets: Elegant Swirls, We Scream for Ice Cream
Ink: Bermuda Bay
Extras: Shimmerz, Nesties, buttons, fabric yo yo

PDD Apologies

So you know what happens when your family has been sick almost everyday for about 6 weeks? You get terribly behind. I haven't forgotten about all of my three readers. I'm sorry I've been swamped with life. Not much crafting goes on when your house is a mess of toys, sick kidlets and hubby, chores piling up and daily life getting done.

But I'm back. And I've got some fun creations to share. Today I'm showing you a sweet cupcake card with Stickles and Pez-a-Bling from Pez-a-Doodle designs. When you stop at the store be sure to check out the new holiday Skittles (which are on their way to me so I can share some with you).

Cardstock: Rich Razzleberry, Green Galore, Pink Pirouette
Stamp Set: Cupcake Twins QKD
Ink: Rich Razzleberry

PDD Friday New Skittles

Yes that's right NEW Skittles. Lots of new ones in fact. And you can find them here. Seriously amazingly too cute. I made a quick sparkly Halloween card today using the spider Skittles and the Glitter Skittles.

The images are stamped in Versamark and then embossed with Iridescent Ice. It's a little difficult to catch on "film" but I think you can get the feel of how sparkly the card is.

Now I'll let you run over to the Pez-a-Doodle store and go wild ordering up all the cuteness Marti has to offer.

Cardstock: Lavender Lace, Gable Green, BB
Stamps: Skittle Spider
Ink: Versamark
Extras: Top Note Die, Iridescent Ice EP, Skittles

So if you are stopping here first be sure to swing over to the beginning to see all the samples made with the new stamps. And after you shower me with an appropriate amount of love and praise head over to do the same for Lara.

Oh one more thing before I show you the card today...SALE INFORMATION. I knew that would get your attention.
27% off of all QKD stamps (excludes separates and customs) 15-20% off of all Past Kits (royal, get inked!, The findings and Take 3) 10% off of all paper packs 55% off of all clearance 10% off of all acrylic blocks 10% off of all grab bags 20% off of the scrapbooking kit section (does not include royal kits)

Ok here's my super cute if I do say so myself card...
I used the cherry topped cupcake from Cupcake Twins. Colored it with Prismacolor pencils and OMS adding Stickles to the sprinkles and sentiment tag. The ribbon was a find from Micheal's a long time ago and is just perfect. This stamp set also has a heart topped cupcake and it's adorable, plus a wonderful sentiment for all your homemade goodies you bake for neighbors. Love it. I was so happy to play with this set for you to get inspired. Enjoy the hop. Don't miss a beat of it and be sure to stop off at the store after you visit everyone to SHOP.

Off you go to Lara's blog
